Rhodes pulled down the first draw control and scored the first goal of the game en route to a 17-6 victory over the hosting Ave Maria University Gyrenes (3-4). The win moves the Lynx to 4-5 (1-0 SAA) on the season.

Caroline Kardian pulled down the first draw and the roaring Lynx offense moved the ball quickly before Carina Wesker scored in the first minute of the game. The Gyrenes were the next to attack but Emma Bradley came up with her first of seven saves to give the ball back to Rhodes. After a failed clear attempt by Ave Maria, Avery Burke found Emily Bruner for a wide open transition goal making it 2-0. Strong defensive pressure led the way for Rhodes to control the tempo of the game. Bruner had a hand in the next five goals, scoring two and assisting Sophia Horowitz, Burke and Wesker.

The Lynx opened the second quarter with a 7-0 advantage. Burke notched her next goal on a free position shot, extending the lead to 8-0. Ave Maria pulled down the next draw control and cut into the lead with Hannah Shaffrey finding Allison Finfield for her first goal. The Lynx would then finish the half on a 4-1 scoring run with two goals from Kardian and one each from Anna Erskine and Chloe Parker.

Olivia Wood opened up the second half in the cage for the Lynx. The Rhodes defense stayed strong, forcing a shot clock violation on the Gyrenes. Erskine opened up second half scoring with a free position goal for the Lynx. After alternating possessions, Orianna Eldridge scored her sole goal of the game and Ave Maria's sole goal of the quarter with an assist from Sophie Paige. During the next stretch of offensive play, Bruner dished the ball to Parker to extend Rhodes' lead to 14-3 heading into the final quarter.

Ave Maria opened up the final 15 minutes on a 2-0 scoring run with goals by Finfield and Abigail Seiler. Erskine pulled in the next draw control for the Lynx, securing an attacking possession where Molly Heidrick found Carina Wesker for her hat trick goal. Horowitz picked up the next Lynx draw control and after some physical contact, Madison Recker scored a free position goal to put Rhodes up 15-5. Ave Maria and Rhodes traded one more goal a piece with Grace Williams scoring the final goal of the game, locking in the 17-6 final score for the Lynx.

Emma Bradley stopped seven shots between the pipes in the first half before Olivia Wood came in off the bench and posted five saves in the second half.

Nine different players scored for the Lynx with Carina Wesker and Emily Bruner each tallying a hat trick. Bruner added six assists for nine total points. Avery Parker, Chloe Parker, Anna Erskine and Caroline Kardian each added two goals while Sophia Horowitz, Madison Recker and Grace Williams all netted one. Kardian also led all players with six draw controls.
